In today's global world, a university education is about disciplined thinking, encouraging curiosity, challenging existing ideas and generating new ones. It must develop graduates able to contribute skills and knowledge to an international workforce.
The Simulated Teaching and Research Laboratory (STARLab) has been developed to do this. It provides students the opportunity to translate theory of finance learnt in the classroom into "hands on" experience in active finance decision-making.
Monash Business School is committed to providing technical and disciplinary skills. We aim to complement these through transferable skills, including excellent oral and written communication, critical thinking, analysis and problem solving skills, teamwork, numeracy skills and the ability to utilise information technology. These skills are essential in the development of positive graduate attribute outcomes.
