Monforma aims to enrich the discussion among academics by facilitating the free exchange of ideas, as well as promoting and initiating research opportunities within the Management Accounting discipline.

Monforma is a signature event focusing on management accounting, attracting academics from all major Australian universities and many overseas universities active in management accounting research.

It offers a focused technical program, providing participants with the opportunity to present and receive feedback on their work in a constructive environment. Participants find benefit in the diversity of work presented which spans multiple research paradigms. Further, the size of Monforma creates outstanding networking opportunities.

Monforma conferences have featured highly distinguished plenary speakers. Monforma 2015 plenary speakers were Professor Jan Mouritsen from the Copenhagen Business School (Denmark), and Professor Theresa Libby from the University of Waterloo (Ontario, Canada). Previous plenary speakers include Professor Kari Lukka, Associate Professor Kristy Towry, Professor Sally Widener, and Professor Chris Chapman.

Monforma is proud to provide the opportunity for promising and upcoming early career researchers to present their research, a tradition it endeavours to continue in the future.
