Veronique Ambrosini

Welcome to the Department of Management and to Monash Business School.

The Department of Management is one of the largest groups of management scholars in the Asia-Pacific region and is widely recognised as a world-class management academy.

With over 65 full time academics, 70 teaching associates and a team of professional staff, we teach 8,000 undergraduate and 5,000 graduate students each year.

We offer a range of innovative and relevant undergraduate and graduate units in the areas of human resources, employment relations, international business and management, operations and supply chain, strategic management, governance, leadership and organisational studies.

In addition to our teaching into the major comprehensive degree programs of Monash Business School, we are responsible for graduate programs in Management, Human Resource Management, and Public Policy and Management. We have also Honours and Doctoral programs.

We are committed to enhancing our students’ ability to engage creatively and successfully in a global environment and strive for excellence in all aspects of our research, teaching, service and administrative activities.

We have a strong commitment to producing high-quality research which has influence in the academic community, as well as relevance to industry. Our academic research strengths lie in international business and management, human resource management and employee relations, social-purpose business, leadership studies, public sector governance and management, health care, supply chain and sustainability and critical management studies.

Our researchers are recognised for their collaboration and partnerships in cross-disciplinary research projects with domestic and international institutions and organisations.

We value diversity in all our stakeholders, research interests and teaching styles, and we aim to promote a collegiate and inclusive environment in which we treat our students, staff and other stakeholders with fairness and respect.

We are proud of our extensive engagement with the public, private and not-for-profit sectors and we strongly support the principles for responsible management education (PRME) endorsed by the UN.
